14th Feb, day i kena "chased" away from a church by a fierce pastor...

started off the day with another long uphill climb. barely made 10km in 2 hrs. view was great from the top when i got there!

huge motorbike gang in the mountain top town of Bao Loc, posing for a photo to say that they climbed the mountains to Bao Loc!

lady selling fruits/snack outside a pri sch, looks interesting so i got a bag to see what it is =D

bet they mus hate going home everyday cause they have to push their bike up 1km of slope!

oh its Valentine's Day today ah? happy Valentine to all! hopefully i meet a vietnamese galfren here bah! =P

luckily the lady told me how to eat the fruit, cause obviously i dun look local... you gotta rub the fruit on your pants/shirt/whatever you wanna rub against to get rid of the small white powdery stuff.

and after some rubbing, the white stuff is gone (well almost...) i wonder if its better to eat the white stuff or to eat the dirt on my pants that i havent exactly washed for days... decided to rub everything on my pants and i havent had any stomachache so far yet!

who says i dun eat fruits on the way. i bought 2 kg of watermelons and finished it in 2hrs! =P this should fulfill my daily fruit intake for the next few days bah

stopped at a small local church to sleep for the night and tons of kids appeared to see what i was doing. (i was TRYING to write my diary here but too distracted to do anything really)

thats the local church attraction - the green tent with crazy singaporean...

if you wanna feel like a rockstar, then come to this church and stay for a night here. i think almost all the kids in the village were here. i am not kidding you dudes, when i left in the morning, ppl were shouting "singapore" the whole 2km+ to the main road...

evening classes at the church, though not sure if they were religious or jus general education for the poor kids... pay attention & stop looking back!!

the church where i was to sleep for the night until...
when i was jus about to sleep around 7pm or so, some man came over to my tent and literally lifted(well at least he tried to, but he couldnt so he started kicking the sides...) my tent and started saying very angrily "no sleep here. you! go house sleep. go away." sians... who the hell is this dude man... came out of my tent and he looked dressed like a pastor but anyway, he is obviously from the church with some power.

yea yea, whatever you say... i cant possibly argue with the ppl of this church can I? since i am a visitor here so i gotta do what they say. oh wells, started to pack up my stuff grudgingly and it was already super dark. thinking back if i rmb any nice spots to camp while on the way here but couldnt rmb any. think i will prob cycle a little bit further and find some random spot to sleep for the night bah. i thought Christians always say "The church will not turn anybody away from its doors"? looks like its not true after all... or is it?

after packing up with the pastor/man standing at the side watching me and even pushing my bike away (prob starting to get irritated with me for taking so long, and wanted to speed up the process) i started to walk away towards the gates of the church. interestingly, the pastor/man said "come, follow me". ok Mr Pastor, i can figure out the way to the gates so no need to escort me out. followed him anyway and he actually brought me to the house opposite the church! "sleep here!" i swear he was very fierce and aggressive the whole way until this very moment when he told me to sleep here. Then i understood what he was trying to do... looks like the church indeed doesnt turn anybody away after all. (though i have no intention of becoming a christian because of this...) mayb its the vietnamese way of speaking but they always sound fierce and aggressive but they actually have lots of kind intentions. you jus have to filter out the fierce face & tone to sense the generosity they display.
the man on the right is not the pastor who "chased" me away. he was a christian and his home was opposite the church.

woke up in the morning to see that my camera has been pillaged by this young boy! wah not bad eh... take my camera and "Zi Pai", think i dunno eh... caught you red handed! muahaha. didnt find out until i checked my photos a few days after though LOL

the bird tonic/wine that he insisted i drink. he says that it gives me str for cycling?
and the hot-pot dish that i had for dinner that night! yummy =P

the small, cute boy fooling around with my camera =D

thats the church i attempted to sleep in last night before coming here instead!
looks like all things will turn out fine eventually! no need to worry unnecessarily!
