FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions i rather not waste time repeating

I have got tons of questions from friends, family, acquiantances, blah blah... lazy of answering them repeatedly so here is the top questions encountered so far.

Questions arranged in terms of irritability and frequency of asking, so if the question is high up on the list, it probably irritated me quite abit already, so do me a favour and stop asking me such questions.

1. Are you serious about this mega trip you are talking about?
Yes. without a doubt. period.

2. Are you crazy?
Definitely no! i am a regular guy, jus looking for some things to pass my time until July next year when Uni starts... though frens have occasionally called me silly/cute/stupid/blur/greedy/miser/slacker/brother bear/doggy/fat, i think crazy has never appeared in the description yet.

3. Do you know where you are heading to?
Nope. i have no idea where i am heading to. i know i will definitely bypass SE Asia then travel to China. After that, i am still deciding whether to head to either
1) nepal-india
2) china-kyrgyzstan-tajikistan-uzbekistan-turkmenistan

one thing the army has taught me is this.
It doesnt matter whether you are lost and dunno where you are headed, as long as you continue walking, you will complete your mission. (albeit with some help from instructors/commanders)

4. What happens if your tire punctures? wheel spoke breaks? chain snap? crank crack? frame bent? gears wear out?
I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO FIX ANY OF THIS.
so stop asking me what happens if my bike breaks down. i will find out along the way when that happens. unless you want to sponsor me a mechanic to follow me on my trip. would appreciate that if you do.

2nd thing the army has taught me is this.
Theory and classroom lessons, even practice sessions do not teach anything. Jumping into the job head first lets you learn and gain the most.
I was always sleeping every chance i could get while i was a cadet and after commissioning i could say that i knew little bout military law, planning, battle procedures, ops timelines etc. However, when thrown into the job as a young 2nd lieutenant, i can safely say i know my stuff by learning on the job. if you ask me now, i can tell you all of those, but i would have to kill you after that of course...

5. Ok, then where are you heading to? you know which border crossings to take? the language? impt contact details in Country X? have you planned your accomodation? visas? safe in Country X? police and emergency numbers? the list goes on...
For the 1, 926th time, i do not know the answers of this.now for more wise ramblings...

3rd thing the army has taught me is this.
When you plan, the plan never goes according to plan. So why plan?

My categorisation of the world
People are split into 2 categories.
Cat 1 - these are the ppl that like to plan everything... where to eat, where to sleep, what time to arrive, what train tickets to buy, what to bring, what to do in emergency scenario number 27, wats the weather blah blah
Cat 2 - Just get off your ass and start moving, will you?

I believe i fall into Cat 2, partly because i think planning is is overrated. or at least i think so.... we shall see.

6. Did you know dec-feb is a monsoon season in SE Asia, its the wrong time to be travelling north. mayb you might want to postpone your plans?
woah serious? thats interesting, i didnt noe bout that.(until someone asked me this qn of course)
hmmm but frankly, i dun really care if its the hurricane season or the terrorist-hunting season.

4th thing the army has taught me is this.
Do first. Talk cok and think later.

7. You are really not crazy?
hmmm well... ok mayb just a little?
